The 45th Annual Lac qui Parle Lake Association Walleye Tournament took place on Saturday, June 7th. 48 boats headed out in hopes of bringing 5 fish to the scales. 146 walleyes were weighed in for a total of 377.29 lbs. Jamie Jahn and Mitch Lillejord took top honors weighing in 5 fish for 17.27 lbs, including the second biggest walleye of the day weighing 8.85 lbs and took home a check for $3,900, which included option pot money and early bird incentive money. Second Place went to Pete McGinty and Cody Enger who weighed 4 fish for 16.85 lbs, they took home $1910.00 in prize money, which included option pot money. Corey Joyce and Steve Benson took third place weighing in 4 fish for 15.2 pounds good for $1,410, which included option pot money. Fourth place was Bob Hoium and Rick Hoium who weighed 5 fish for 14.96 lbs worth $615.. Fifth place went to Gordy Brehmer and Chuck Ronglien who weighed 5 fish for 14.57 lbs, good for $492 in prize money.
